  • Does it suggest colors, images, patterns, or scenes?
  • What feelings does this selection evoke?
  • What instruments or singing do you hear?
  • Are there any repetitive sound patterns the composer used? Can you sing or tap them?
  • What portions of the music did you especially enjoy? What made them appealing?
  • Can you think of a situation when this music would be especially appropriate to play?
  • Does this music remind you of another selection? What is similar to it?
  • Can you imagine movement or dance to accompany this music? If so, can you move or dance in that way?
  • If you could, would you change this music in any way? How?
  • What do you think the composer was trying to communicate when he/she wrote this composition?
  • Might the listener hear something quite different?
